The staff of the Grand-Ducale Police are undersized in the face of all the missions the Police are confronted.
The transport of prisoners from Court to prison is a good example of this, which is now underlined by MPs André Bauler and Max Hahn (DP). This action mobilizes staff who are forced to wait for long periods and during these periods they are not performing Police operations.
Like the German “Justizvollzugsbeamter”, a specialised professional in the transport of prisoners, MPs question the Minister of Internal Security on the desirability of setting up such posts and whether they could be given in priority to staff leaving the Army.
The Minister has 30 days to reply to the MPs.
