In its role of prevention, the Grand-Ducale Police remind that trucks transit traffic to France and Germany is prohibited in Luxembourg on Tuesday 15 August 2017, Assumption day (public holiday).
At the last German “Fronleichnam” (or “Corpus Christi”) on 15 June, non-compliance with traffic rules resulted in an 11-kilometer traffic jam at the border and a closed motorway lane.
Failure to comply with these provisions may result in a fine of € 250 for the offender. The Grand-Ducal Police will increase their presence on the motorways network.
