The answer to the question of whether refugees and international protection seekers are involved in a large number of interventions by the Grand Ducal Police is yes.
In reply to the parliamentary question from MPs Diane Adehm and Gilles Roth (CSV) who wanted to know the number of Police interventions during the first three months of the year triggered by refugees, the Minister of Internal Security Etienne Schneider replied about a hundred (one per day Saturdays and Sundays included, editor’s note).
However, he said that these interventions had not resulted in Police injuries, and that a Police reserve is always available in case of disturbances in the facilities for refugees and international protection seekers.
