LUXEMBOURG – OPEN DOOR AT DIEKIRCH MILITARY CENTER

As the Army celebrates 50 years of voluntary military service in Luxembourg, the Diekirch Military Center opens its doors to the public on Sunday, July 09, 2017 from 10 am to 6 pm.

Throughout the day materials will be exhibited and demonstrations will be carried out according to the planing below.

For safety reasons it is not advisable to come with a backpack and access by car to the “Härebierg” will be allowed only for people with reduced mobility.

Demonstration program:

11.00-11.30 – Dog masters Section of the Customs, Square of Independence
12.30-13.10 – Dynamic Demonstration of the Army, Dynamic Demonstration Area
13.30-14.00 – Motorized section of the Customs, Square of Independence
14.50-15.20 – Customs section of the Customs, Square of Independence
16.30-17.10 – Dynamic Demonstration of the Army, Dynamic Demonstration Area

Access, Parkings & Shuttles:

A special train (Nr. 91091) from the CFLs will serve the Dommeldange-Diekirch line. With a departure at 9.30 am from Dommeldange, this train will reach Walferdange, Heisdorf, Lorentzweiler, Lintgen, Mersch, Cruchten, Colmar-Berg, Schieren and Ettelbruck to arrive at Diekirch at 10.09.

Four bus lines from 9.30 am will link the Military Center at the Herrenberg, especially from the Diekirch railway station.

On the same day the signs will indicate the itinerary to the different car parks.
