While initially the Luxembourg authorities were certain of the absence of eggs contaminated with Fipronil on the Luxembourg market, a statement from the Ministry of Health confirms the opposite this late afternoon.
In fact, contaminated eggs have been sold on the Luxembourg market:
- At Aldi stores
- From 25/07/2017
- With for DLC the 15/08/2017 respectively the 16/08/2017
- With identification numbers X-NL42364-XX and X-NL43868-XX
All of these lots were withdrawn from the market by Aldi.
In the present state of knowledge:
– For the Lot X-NL43868-XX should not be eaten by young children.
– For the Lot X-NL42364-XX there is no health risk for the consumer.
