While the arrival of a Google datacenter in Luxembourg takes longer than expected and that a start of disagreement within the government seems to appear on the matter, the National Representation asks questions at its turn.
MP Laurent Mosar (CSV), after being surprised by the negotiations length, appealed to Carole Dieschbourg, Minister of the Environment and Etienne Schneider, Minister of the Economy, on the reality of the land presence in a green area (protected zone and not constructible land) envisaged to the installation of Google and on the negotiation with the current owners who would be led by the National Office of the land consolidation and not Google itself.
The two Ministers will respond shortly.
Google’s investment in Luxembourg would be close to a billion euros, which would make it the largest investment of a foreign firm in the Grand Duchy in the history.
